Seminar & Workshop: Sustaining your Business in a Carbon-constrained Economy

Climate change is a growing concern for businesses and industries. To mitigate climate change risk exposure, The Hong Kong Council of Social Service and WWF-HK jointly organised a Seminar and Workshop on “Sustaining your Business in a Carbon-constrained Economy” on 30 July 2013.

The Event aims to bring together business, operations and technical leaders in different industries to explore climate change impacts and sustainable business growth opportunities in a carbon-constrained economy. About 100 participants coming from the Business and Social Services sectors attended.

Four speakers were invited to share their experiences. Representative from Asia at Trucost ,Ms Chaoni Huan, Head of business development, she shared a case study report on Puma’s Environmental Profit & Loss Accounts(EP&L). Mr Victor Kwong, Head - Corporate Health, Safety & Environmental of The Hong Kong and China Gas Company Limited, Mr Norman Tsoi, Group Operations Officer of Knight Frank, and Mr Noel Yue Chi Hang, IT Head of Knight Frank, they shared on how to integrate Environmental Strategies into their business operations. Besides, 4 concurrent workshops were also conducted, providing participants with more practical tools and information for improving energy efficiency and carbon emission.
