The CEOs meet CEOs Luncheon

The CEOs meet CEOs Luncheon Series was successfully held on 28 September 2010, with Mr Lawrence Fung, Chairman of the Hong Kong Economic Times Holdings Limited as the guest speaker, and CPA Australia as sponsor. Mr Fung shared his insights on the topic of “Strategic Management of NGOs – Leaders’ Vision x Executive Power of the Team” with over 80 NGO heads and board members, encouraging them to serve the community with dedication. The platform of “WiseGiving, Pass It On” was adopted by guest speaker and sponsor to donate the souvenir budget to WiseGiving charities of their choice.

Mr Fung highlighted on 3 main concerns of the sector: resources, relationship with Government and social recognition. Resources are the necessities of service delivery. “Organization should proactively collect resources via different accesses and manage them well”, he said. He also shared his fruitful experiences on effective ways to work with the Government and how to earn the social recognition from making good use of the media. Mr Fung believes that talents is the key successful element for organizational long term development, thus organization itself should nurture their talents tenderly.

The luncheon provided a cross-sectoral communication platform for NGOs and its partners to exchange insights and work together for the betterment of the society.
