The Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS) is partnered with The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charitable Trust (the Trust) for a Professional Traineeship for First-Time Jobseekers Project namely PROcruit C (the Project), by inviting companies from different industries to offer job opportunities in the area of Business for Good – Corporate Social Responsibility focus between 2021 and 2022.

Created and funded by the Trust, the Project develops young talents to address post-COVID-19 social needs and challenges in the areas of Healthcare for Good, Technology for Good, Creativity for Good and Business for Good. The Project deploys a professional traineeship model to transition first-time jobseekers to emerging professions that further strengthens the resilience of our community. HKCSS is the Industry Convener in the area of Business for Good, responsible for corporate partnership and coordinate positions related to Corporate Social Responsibility.

The Project starts recruiting eligible applicants from Dec 2020. Successful candidates will be receiving a 12-month paid employment with professional training opportunity. Participating companies who are successfully created job(s) under this Project will also receive 50% subsidy on basic salary and MPF from The Government’s Anti-Epidemic Fund (AEF), up to HK$10,000/trainee/month for a period of one year.

The first JC PROcruit C programme have successfully completed in Aug 2022. We produced a casebook to showcase the impact on Business for Good area. Feedbacks from employers, trainees and stakeholders, as well as career prospect for Sustainability and CSR industry have also been shared in the casebook. Please click here to read the casebook.
