企業社會責任（Corporate Social Responsibility，簡稱CSR）在香港經過近20年的推廣與實踐，已經讓「成功」企業開始被重新定義，獲利將不再是唯一指標，企業在創造利潤的同時，也要對員工、社會、環境盡責。

發展至今，本港的CSR經歷了3個進程。第一是企業參與慈善和捐助活動，但與企業核心業務沒有直接關係；第二是透過加強業務管理和生產方式的改進，減少對社會和環境的負面影響，此時已將外部因素導入經營決策中；第三則是兼顧經濟、社會和環境的共同利益，追求商業利潤和社會責任並重。

The Caring Company Scheme 2021/22 has commenced. If you are interested in the Scheme, don’t miss the Online Information Session. Admission is free! 

Prelude to the “Caring Company” 20th Anniversary: Sustainable Partnership • Impactful Changes was successfully held on 18 May 2021. An Online Networking session was held which shared three social issues with participants: “Technology in Ageing Society x CareFood x Smart City”, “Subdivided Unit Social Housing Community Development” and “Corporate x NGO．Impactful Changes．Sustainable Development“. We hope to inspire representatives from different sectors to explore new partnership opportunities.

In addition to the Online Networking, we had our long term partners who have been supporting HKCSS to join the Launch Ceremony of the Community Recovery. More cross-sectoral collaboration will be developed and launched to create impactful changes in helping community recovery and support to the needy groups in the coming year.

“Hong Kong Volunteer Award” is to recognize volunteers’ outstanding performance, as well as the business corporations’ distinguished contributions and accomplishments in promoting volunteering.

Organized by Agency for Volunteer Service, the 9th Hong Kong Volunteer Award will receive nomination till 18 June 2021.  Do seize the opportunity to nominate outstanding volunteers, volunteer groups and business corporations to recognize their achievement.  Self-nomination of business corporation is admissible.  For details, please visit the official website.

Launched in 2016, JC-WISE is a project funded by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust and hosted by The University of Hong Kong, which aims to raise the public’s awareness of the importance of attaining long-term water sustainability goals for Hong Kong.

Using the concept of Water Footprint, the “Water Wise Campaign” provides business and NGOs with an innovative perspective to contribute towards water sustainability through encouraging food waste reduction and better consumption choices.

JC-WISE offers free on-site display materials and outreach events, and bespoke recommendations for “low water footprint” menu at participating organisations’ canteens or restaurants.
