2025/26 Caring Company Scheme Stakeholder Engagement Activities – “Thematic Orientation: Partnering for Growth” (previous named as Peer Learning Activities)

The Hong Kong Council of Social Service launched the “Caring Company Scheme” in 2002 to foster cross-sector strategic partnerships among stakeholders, with the aim of promoting corporate social responsibility and sustainable development. In 2025, a stakeholder engagement initiative named “Thematic Orientation: Partnering for Growth” is scheduled to take place. This initiative will consist of a series of social-focused co-learning events designed to connect different stakeholders and facilitate mutual communication and collaboration to drive social progress.
Local charitable organisations and social enterprises (hereinafter referred as “partner organisations”) are invited to collaborate in organizing these events.
Objectives
- Provide a platform for cross-sector communication and learning to enhance stakeholders’ understanding of various social issues
- Connect the like-minded stakeholders on the same issues to facilitate synergy
- Facilitate collaboration and connection among cross-sector stakeholders for sustainable development
- Provide a platform for partner organisations to connect cross-sector stakeholders to establish the social resource-sharing model
Participation Details
Local eligible partner organisations interested in collaborating for "Thematic Orientation: Partnering for Growth" must submit the application form based on the following five themes. The proposed activities must be conducted between April 2025 and January 2026. Each eligible partner organisation may submit a maximum of two proposals, with each proposal suggesting two activities focused on the same theme.
Theme: (The suggested contents are for reference only, eligible partner organisations can propose other content according to their areas of expertise)
- Carer Support: Support for working carers, carer-friendly communities, caring communities, etc.
- Diversity, Equity & Inclusion: Inclusive workplace, barrier-free communities, etc.
- Empowerment (Elderly/ Women/ Youth): Talent development/opportunities for upward mobility, active aging, women in the workforce, etc.
- Environment: Sustainable cities, net-zero emissions, circular economy, responsible production, green operations, etc.
- Mental Health: Employee well-being, stress management and building resilience, effective communication, etc.
Target Audience: Representatives and employees (e.g., management, sustainability/corporate responsibility teams, other staff) from companies or organisations, regardless of whether they have received the caring company/organisation logo or intend to participate in Caring Company Scheme
Format: Unrestricted (e.g., seminars, workshops, experiential activities, site visits, etc.)
Number of participants per activity: Partner organisations may suggest a suitable number of participants based on the event format (e.g. seminars should have no fewer than 100 participants; other formats should have no fewer than 40 participants).
Fund Arrangement: The initiative is supported by Caring Company Patron’s Club and the maximum funding for each proposed activity is HK$10,000, with administrative expenses not exceeding 15% of the total cost.
